Write-capable SAS flash at 24 Gbps comes from the Lenovo ThinkSystem 1.6TB SAS 24G SFF PM1655 Mixed Use Hot-Swap SSD, 4XB7A80341. It stores 1.6TB in a 2.5in hot-swap carrier and carries a Mixed Use rating, so it can sit under volumes that see regular writes, such as transactional databases and virtual machine datastores.

Lenovo's feature code is BNW9. Listed compatible systems: SR650, SR670, SR850, SR860, SR950, ST550, SR635 and SR655, which covers both rack and tower ThinkSystem and System x models. A SAS-capable controller and backplane are needed to use the drive.
