Kingston's SEDC600ME/960G puts 960GB of self-encrypting flash in a standard 2.5-inch, 7mm server drive. It connects over SATA at 6 Gb/s and supports hot plug.

Encryption follows TCG Opal 2.0 with AES 256-bit, so a server or controller that manages Opal keys can lock the drive. Power loss protection protects data in transit if power fails. Performance is 560 MB/s sequential read and 530 MB/s sequential write, with 94,000 random read IOPS and 65,000 random write IOPS. The 3D TLC NAND is rated for 1 DWPD, or 1752 TB written. Maximum power is 3.6 W and MTBF is 2,000,000 hours.
