Ten gigabit over copper on an embedded card: the IBM 49Y7990 (feature A3JT) uses the Intel X540 controller and gives two RJ45 ports at 10GbE. Because it is an embedded form, it fits the server's integrated adapter position rather than a regular PCIe slot.
Listed compatible systems: IBM System x3650 M4, the x3650 M4 with E5-2600 v2, and the System x3550 M4. 10GBase-T runs over twisted-pair cabling, so you can often reuse existing structured cabling where the quality allows it, rather than buying fiber or direct-attach cables.
