Overview
Low profile and passively cooled, the HPE NVIDIA T4 16GB PCIe Computational Accelerator (R0W29C) is the compact end of the range. The NVIDIA T4 has 16GB of GDDR6, a PCIe Gen3 x16 interface and a maximum power of 70W.
Note the interface generation: this is a Gen3 card, which is what the T4 offers. It will sit in newer slots but is not a newer-generation design. The low-profile single-slot body fits servers with small expansion slots, and the passive heatsink relies on chassis airflow.
A low power ceiling and small size make it a long-standing choice for adding inference and light compute acceleration to ordinary rack servers.
HPE lists R0W29A as an option part number for this accelerator, which may appear in older HPE option lists next to R0W29C.
The R0W29C is available new, refurbished and used. New and refurbished units carry a warranty of 1 year or 3 years. Used units carry 90 days.
