Overview

The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11 12EDSFF Network Choice CTO Server (P52536-B21) uses 12 x EDSFF drive bays, the newer flash form factor, in a 2U chassis.

Two sockets take Intel Xeon Scalable processors, 4th and 5th generation, and 32 DDR5 slots reach 8192 GB. There is no embedded network adapter: an OCP 3.0 or PCIe adapter is selected at order.

With flash-native drives and two processors, this configuration is aimed at performance-sensitive jobs such as analytics, databases and software-defined storage. The 2U body leaves more room for add-in cards than a 1U equivalent. It is a CTO base model.
