HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Intel Xeon Gold 6240 18-Core 2.6GHz Processor Kit

Eighteen cores at 2.6GHz come in the HPE P02509-B21, an option kit for the ProLiant DL380 Gen10. The processor is an Intel Xeon Gold 6240 rated at 150W.

It is a middle option for this server, giving a balance of core count and clock speed. Typical uses are virtualization and application servers that have outgrown a smaller processor but do not need the largest one.

When installing, use identical processors in both sockets of the server, and ensure the heatsink matches the 150W rating.

In a two-socket DL380 Gen10, two of these double the core count, which is a solid configuration for virtualization. Order matching kits for both sockets, and ask us about the heatsink if your server lacks one for the second processor.
