Overview

The Dell PowerEdge R760 is a 2U, two-socket rack server from the 16th generation. It takes 4th or 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors or Intel Xeon Max, and supports up to 8192GB of DDR5 memory across 32 slots. It is built for virtualization, databases and storage-heavy workloads in the data center.

Storage options are wide. The front can hold up to 12 x 3.5in drives, up to 24 x 2.5in SAS/SATA/NVMe drives, or up to 16 x E3.S NVMe drives. The rear adds up to 4 x 2.5in or 4 x E3.S. Controller choices include PERC H965i, H755, H755N and H355, HBA355i and HBA465i, with BOSS-N1 for boot.

Networking is an optional 2 x 1GbE LOM card and/or 1 x OCP 3.0 card. There are 8 expansion slots, and hot-plug redundant power supplies range from 700W to 3200W.
