Overview

Storage density sets the Dell PowerEdge R740xd apart. This 14th generation 2U rack server supports up to 12 x 3.5in or 24 x 2.5in hot-plug drives at the front, so it can hold a dozen large disks or two dozen compact ones.

The compute side is a two-socket platform for 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors, with 24 DDR4 memory slots and a ceiling of 3072 GB. The combination suits software-defined storage, large file servers, backup repositories and databases that need both capacity and memory.

Stock is refurbished, with 1 year or 3 years of warranty, and used, with 90 days. Send us the drive layout, processors and memory you want in a request, and we will reply with a configured price and lead time.
