The Dell PowerEdge M1000e 10U Blade Enclosure, MPN M1000e, is the chassis that blade servers slide into. It occupies 10U of rack space and shares power, cooling and networking across every blade installed.
Blade capacity depends on the size you choose: up to 16 half-height blades, 8 full-height blades or 32 quarter-height blades. That makes it a fit for teams that want to mix blade sizes in one frame or consolidate several rack servers into a single enclosure. Six I/O module bays carry the switching and pass-through modules that connect the blades to your network and storage.
Power comes from up to 6 hot-plug supplies, and cooling from 9 hot-plug redundant fan modules, so a failed supply or fan can be swapped without taking the enclosure down.
