Overview
Four terabytes at 7200 rpm over SAS, the Dell F7DTR is a smaller nearline drive for 3.5in LFF bays. It is typically bought to replace a failed disk in an existing array or to add modest capacity where the rest of the set is of similar size.
Unlike most nearline drives of recent years, it uses 512n sectors, native 512 throughout, which older controllers and operating systems handle without special support. Dell lists it for both the PowerVault ME4 Series and PowerVault ME5 Series. The OEM part number is the Seagate DL4000NM019B.
