At 15000 rpm and 600GB, Dell EMC Unity P/N 005053478 is a fast SAS disk for 15-slot enclosures. It sits at the top of the spindle-speed range in our Unity listings.
The faster rotation gives lower rotational delay than a slower-spinning drive, which is the reason people choose 15K disks for transaction-heavy volumes. Capacity per drive is modest, so groups need several of them to hold a useful amount of data.
