Overview
Eight terabytes on a 7200 rpm SAS platter, the Dell C5HD0 is a mid-capacity nearline disk for 3.5in LFF bays. It is a sensible fit where you want warranty-backed new stock at a lower per-drive size than the largest models, for example when filling an array in stages.
Sectors are 512e, so the host addresses the disk in 512 units while the drive uses a larger physical sector internally. Dell lists it in the support matrix for the PowerVault ME4 Series and PowerVault ME5 Series, and the OEM part number recorded for it is the Seagate ST8000NM024B.
