Dell 39XRY puts 16TB on one 3.5in drive. It spins at 7.2K RPM and connects over SATA at 6Gb/s, which makes it a cost-effective way to build large storage pools for backups, archives, surveillance video and file shares.
The drive is hot-plug, so it can be swapped in a server or enclosure without powering down, provided the backplane and controller support it. Sector format is 512e: 512-byte logical sectors over larger physical ones, which keeps it compatible with systems that expect 512-byte sectors.
