Dell 480GB SATA 6Gb/s Read Intensive 2.5in SSD (3397M)

Read Intensive SSDs are rated for workloads that read far more than they write, and the Dell 3397M is a 480GB drive in that class. It uses a 2.5in SFF form factor and a SATA interface at 6Gb/s.

Good fits include boot and OS volumes, web and file serving, and read caches, where the drive spends most of its time serving data rather than absorbing heavy writes. For write-heavy jobs such as busy databases or logging, a Mixed Use drive is the better match.

SATA keeps the drive compatible with a wide range of server backplanes and RAID controllers that accept 2.5in SATA SSDs. It is also a simple swap if a failed drive of the same type needs replacing.

You can order the 3397M New or Refurbished. Either condition comes with a choice of 1 year or 3 years of warranty.
