Two kilometers over duplex single-mode is the rating of the Cisco 100GBASE-FR1 QSFP28 Transceiver Module, part number QSFP-100G-FR-S. It operates at 1310 nm and uses an LC connector.

That reach covers links between buildings on a campus, or between halls of a large data center, where multimode and shorter single-mode modules run out of distance. The LC connector lets you use standard duplex single-mode cabling, so no parallel MPO trunks are needed.
