This is one half of a bidirectional pair. The Cisco QSFP-100G-B20U4-I is a 100GBASE BiDi QSFP28 transceiver with an LC connector and a rated reach of 20 km over single-mode fiber.
BiDi optics use different wavelengths for each direction, so a link needs the matching module at the far end. Make sure you order the partner transceiver as well as this one; a pair of identical modules will not do the job. This unit carries the U4 suffix, so the other end must be the matching D4 module.
