Measure twice: the Cisco QDD-4ZQ100-CU2.5M exists for runs that are a bit longer than 2 m but do not need the full 3 m. It is a passive copper breakout cable that turns a 400GbE QSFP-DD port into 4x100GBASE-CR2 connections.
Because the cable is copper, no transceivers are required at either end. Plan the port mapping at the breakout side in advance, so each of the four 100G links lands on the correct device.
