This 2.5 m cable fills the gap between the 2 m and 3 m lengths in the Cisco QDD-400 copper series. The QDD-400-CU2.5M has QSFP-DD ends, passive copper construction and one 400GbE port.
Half a meter does not sound like much, but in a dense rack it can be the difference between a clean bend and a cable that has to be rerouted. If you have measured a run that falls just over 2 m, this is the part number to ask about instead of jumping to 3 m.
